Mary Ferguson

Executive Director

Mary Ferguson is the Executive Director at SAFE-T Crisis Center. She was a founding Board Member for SAFE-T in 1995 and the first domestic violence survivor on the board. She has been with SAFE-T 10 years as a staff and 17 years as a volunteer. She received her Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Degree from Texas A&M University-Texarkana in 2019. Her passion is helping domestic violence and sexual assault victims, because an agency like SAFE-T once helped her.

Charla Bowen

Director of Counseling Services/Programs

Charla Bowen, MS, MEd, LPC-S, CSC has been blessed to work at SAFE-T for the past 10 years. She has a passion for serving the underserved and marginalized communities. Charla strives to help those experiencing the ramifications of trauma by providing researched based practices and utilizing a trauma informed care approach that is both equitable and culturally sensitive to the clients at SAFE-T.

Edie Sparks

Director of Finance

SAFE-T Crisis Center would like to introduce Edie Sparks, the Director of Finance. She has been with SAFE-T for five years. She thrives on assisting clients in escaping their abusive relationships and providing them with the resources to help them stand on their own She has an Associate Degree in General Secretary from NTCC and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.

Georgia

Georgia is SAFE-Ts certified therapy dog. She is a 3-year-old beautiful, hypoallergenic labradoodle that must go through a rigorous recertification evaluation every 2 years through Pet Partners International. Georgia enjoys connecting with the clients through animal assisted therapy with her co-counselor, Charla.
