Will SAFE-T Thrift Store pick up donations?
SAFE-T Thrift Store can schedule a pickup of large donations depending on available vehicles (which have also been donated), the distance of the pickup, and available staff. Call (903)577-9035 and ask to schedule a pickup.

What items will SAFE-T Thrift Store accept?
Although SAFE-T is thankful for all donations, some donations cost the agency money to dispose of if they cannot be sold. It is hard for staff to tell a member of the community that they cannot accept a donation for one reason or another. It is not something that we want to tell anyone. That being said, if the items are broken and cannot be repaired quickly by staff then SAFE-T may refuse to take it. SAFE-T will not accept used mattresses or tube TV’s. The general guide is that if it will cost the agency money to dispose of, then staff will not accept it.

But, if you have a new mattress and would like to donate it, SAFE-T will gladly take it and gift it to a client. SAFE-T will take broken metal items, because we regularly make trips to sell the scrap metal. SAFE-T will accept all clothing items.

What times can I drop off a donation?
The SAFE-T Thrift Store is open Monday - Saturday from 9am-6pm (except on major holidays). If you have a smaller donation afterhours, there is a blue bin outside the gate on 1st street that is emptied regularly for drop off.

Can I get a tax receipt for my donation?
Yes, during business hours a receipt can be requested.
